I am currently a sad assemblage of shredded heart strings and bony bones. Searching for peace - it might be near the tip of my fingertip. But my fingertips are undoubtedly long - my nails are like never ending tallons. My mind longs for intimacy (in a compelling, definitive, deep alliance sort of way, not the "touch me there" kind of way - but sometimes I long for that too). I'm tired of being self-absorbed - there are a few people in my life that have given me so much, and for some reason - I never feel like I can give enough back. I just moved to opposite ends of the country. My loved ones tell me I can't go out at night unescorted (this place is unbearably unsafe) - yes, I am 27 (almost 28) and I have new guardians (I do not say this in a malicious way because they love me unconditionally and would never want me to go away and die or be harmed in anyway). I have no friends that hang on my time. Sometimes I go out unattended and feel petrified for doing it. I don't want to get kilt. But sometimes a girl needs a drink, or a drive, or some shopping therapy, or some freaking variation. My friends in this new town are champion - but they go to bed early and have kids and spouses. And I am an insomniac and miss the place I left and have cabin fever because I telecommute and work ridiculous hours for the corporate hammer of death.
